Do you want to sign up to our Online Services?
You can call the surgery and ask to be set up for our online services. You will be asked some questions to verify your identity, then we will send you a username and password via email for you to log in.
GP online services allow you to access a range of services via your computer, mobile or tablet. Once you have signed up, you will be able to:
- Book or cancel appointments online
- Renew or order repeat prescriptions online
- View parts of your GP record, including information about medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results
You can still contact the practice by phone or Patient Triage, this is just another option, which other patients have found is more convenient and saves them time. More information including “how to” leaflets and videos of patients and why they are using GP online services are available on the NHS website.
How to sign-up

Would you like to be able to book your doctors appointments online? Would you like to be able to order your medications online? Would you like Online Record Access?
You can use online services to:
- Book or cancel your appointment even when the surgery is closed
- Act as an alternative to calling us during busy periods or waiting in a queue
- Check your future appointments and view appointments in the past
- Order prescriptions online
- View your summary record which shows allergies, adverse reactions and medications
- View additional information such as consultant letters, referral forms, diagnoses, test results and vaccinations
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU CAN ONLY BOOK GP TELEPHONE APPOINTMENTS. The GP will speak to you over the phone, and if a face to face appointment is necessary you will be invited in.
If a patient requests access to their full medical record then it will have to be reviewed by a GP. Consequently requests may take up to 30 days and in some circumstances may take longer.
If you would like to register for online services, please call to ask to be set up. You will be given a user guide to get you started or you can download it here.

I want to book appointments and request prescriptions for someone else, can I do this?
Whether or not you can access another patient’s online services depends on their age and/or competency. For example, you can be given proxy access to your young child’s record which will allow you to access online services on their behalf, but once they reach a certain age, a competency assessment will need to be carried out on them and we may need their explicit consent to allow you access. Speak to our reception team about proxy online services access for more information.
